Designing Your Own Fabric

I have been a bit slack in posting on my blog this is due to downloading a free version of Corel Draw . I have been spending heaps of time thinking up designs I would love to see on fabric. I have also found this great site Spoonflower where you can upload your designs and then have it printed. I think  this is such a great way to get into the whole fabric designing industry. They also have contests that you can enter.

Here are a few of the things I have been working on:

Let me know what  you think. Every where I look I am now seeing different patterns I could use on a fabric.

I love what you have designed. My friend and neighbor just got into fabric designing about 4 years ago and that is what she does, and she has now designed for Moda and Riley Blake. I didn't know us little people could have fabric printed though! Have fun with this.

  11. I have used Spoonflower before. I loved being able to make my fabric but printing darker colors is 'iffy'. The first batch I got for my order had lint all over it during printing so once it was washed the lint came off and it had white blank spots all over. Their customer service was great and sent me a new batch with much less lint on it. Will use them again but wont hesitate to contact them if it is linty again. =)
